unclau.de now supports Dark Mode

If you are like me and you have told your OS and/or browser that you prefer dark mode, you should be reading this here as light colored text on a dark background.

The theme I picked when I started this website did not support this out of the box, so I had to add it. Hopefully I didn’t miss anything. If I did and some content is now hard(er) to read, please let me know.

There is also a new, temporary, logo. I do like the idea of calligraphy in the logo, but I have zero connection to Japan and neither me nor this website are all that much (about) Zen. I might try to brainstorm something in (traditional) Mandarin and ask my wife to help me turn it into digital/digitized art, but I am currently more leaning towards some simple iconography.

If you, dear reader, happen to know someone who would be willing to create something for me quick (1-2 hours at most, my budget is rather limited) based on a few ideas I have, please let me know. However, as I do not want to risk ending up with some AI-generated logo, I ask that there is either an uninterupted, short chain of “I know this person in RL and trust them not to use AI” between me and the artist or that the artist is from somewhere within reasonable travel distance from Düsseldorf, so I can take a train and meet them before they start their work.
